Somebody Stop Me! is our Hazy Pale Ale, pairing the bright, citrus-driven character of Freestyle Motueka with HPA-4029, an experimental hop from Hop Products Australia. One is a familiar favourite, the other an intriguing newcomer with something to prove. Together, they're an exploration of what happens when brewing curiosity gets the better of good judgement.
Freshly squeezed lime and vibrant citrus zest lead the way, followed by hints of pineapple, passionfruit and a distinctly fresh, green hop character. HPA-4029 brings an intriguing grassy, herbal edge with a touch of resin, adding another dimension to Motueka's bright citrus profile. A soft, hazy body carries the flavours through to a refreshing finish, with a firm, lingering hop bitterness that keeps things interesting.
Could be genius. Could get completely out of hand. Either way, there's only one thing left to say.
