Shipping and Returns

Shipping Information

At Precursor Brewing Company Pty Ltd, we prioritise the freshness and quality of our beer. To ensure this, we process orders every Monday and Tuesday (excluding public holidays) to avoid shipping over weekends, reducing the risk of products sitting unrefrigerated in depots.

  • Order Processing: Orders are processed on Mondays and Tuesdays and shipped within 48 hours of processing.

  • Delivery Methods: All orders are dispatched through reliable courier services with signature on delivery. We do not deliver to PO Boxes.

  • Tracking: A tracking number will be provided in your confirmation email to monitor your shipment’s progress.

  • Delivery Times: Estimated delivery times are:

  • 2-7 business days for Sydney metro

  • 3-10 business days for regional areas and interstate (QLD, ACT, SA, VIC, WA)

  • Delivery Requirements: If no one is available to receive the parcel, it will be returned to the depot and must be collected by an individual over 18 years of age.

  • International Orders: Currently, we do not accept international orders.

Note: Delivery of the product to a third party nominated by the Customer is deemed to be delivered to the customer. 

Risk of Loss:

Risk transfers to the customer upon shipment.

Storing Our Beers

To maintain optimal quality, we recommend keeping our IPAs, Pale Ales, and other highly hopped variants refrigerated. It’s best to consume them fresh, ideally within a few months.

Returns & Refunds Policy

  • Beer Returns: 

  • Due to the perishable nature of beer, returns are only accepted if:

  • The product is defective and;

  • It is returned within 7 days of delivery and;

  • The product is unopened and stored appropriately.

  • Non-Beer Merchandise Returns:

  • Eligible for return within 30 days of purchase

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase

  • Gift cards and sale items are non-returnable

  • Refunds:

  • Upon receiving and inspecting your return, we will notify you regarding the approval or rejection of your refund

  • Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within a specified timeframe

  • For late or missing refunds, check with your bank or credit card company before contacting us at [insert contact email]

  • Exchanges:

  • Only merchandise (not beer) can be exchanged if defective or damaged

  • Return Shipping:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable

  • For items over $75, we recommend using trackable shipping or insurance

Damaged Goods Upon Delivery:

If your order arrives damaged, different shipping companies can have differing requirement, but generally you should:

  • Take a photo of the damaged package

  • Contact the shipping company immediately

Disputes:

In case of disputes, we aim to resolve issues within 14 days of notification. If unresolved, either party may refer the matter to Fair Trading NSW.
